Lateral Nasal Proboscis

Abstract
Lateral nasal proboscis is a rare malformation of the Head that is only briefly mentioned on the literature.
Selenkoff(1884) had described this abnormality first, the most recent being P.B. Rao in 1977. About 40 cases have been published. Rosen and Gitlin(19 : 59) describe a case of bilateral proboscis.
In the explanation of the etiology and teratogenesis of this facial anormaly, the modern embryologic development of the head is reviewed and correlated with the finding of this anormaly.
It is felt that the lesion responsible for a probosics lateralis involves the organizer tissue for naso-face.
Recently we have such case who has this abnormalities, and the present report is to document this case.
